Software studio · Warsaw, Poland

Software gets forged, not assembled.

Kowalscy means the smiths. A smith heats one piece of metal, works it while it gives, and stakes their name on what comes off the anvil. We build software the same way — small batches, real craft, and a person accountable for the result. Drag the forge slider to see how hot this runs.

01 / Services

Six things we do properly

Not a catalogue of everything possible — these are the areas we've shipped in repeatedly and are willing to be measured on.

/01

Mobile applications

Native iOS and Android, plus React Native and Flutter where a shared codebase genuinely serves the product rather than just the estimate.

/02

Web platforms

Dashboards, client portals and SaaS products on React, Next.js and Node — tuned to stay quick on an average phone, not just a dev machine.

/03

Product design

Research, clickable prototypes and design systems that keep their logic once a few years of features have piled on top.

/04

Backend & cloud

APIs, data models and infrastructure on AWS or GCP, scaled to the traffic you expect — with a written plan for the traffic you don't.

/05

Integrations & automation

Payments, ERP, CRM and logistics systems wired together properly, plus automation for the manual steps your team keeps repeating.

/06

Support & maintenance

CI/CD, monitoring, and a named person who picks up when something breaks outside office hours.

02 / Sectors

Where our hours have gone

Each of these carries its own constraints — compliance, uptime, seasonal load. Knowing them upfront is most of an honest estimate.

Fintech

Reporting and analytics platforms

Logistics

Fleet visibility and route planning

Retail

Storefronts, loyalty and stock sync

Manufacturing

Production tracking and shop-floor tools

03 / Process

Four stages, named after the forge

A smith heats, shapes, quenches and tempers. Software follows the same sequence more closely than most methodologies admit.

Stage 01

Heat

Discovery & scope

We map users, constraints and risks, then write down what's in and what is explicitly out before any code exists.

Stage 02

Shape

Design & prototype

Sketches become clickable prototypes and get tested while changing direction still costs nothing.

Stage 03

Quench

Build & test

Two-week sprints, a live demo at the end of each, automated tests running the whole way through.

Stage 04

Temper

Release & iterate

Store submission or production deploy, analytics connected, then iteration based on real usage.

04 / Studio

Small on purpose

KOWALSCY SP Z O O is a software studio registered in Warsaw. We work with founders and in-house teams who want the people writing the code to also understand why it's being written.

Staying small is a constraint we chose, not a phase we're trying to outgrow. Every project gets senior attention, decisions take hours rather than weeks, and nobody is learning your domain at your expense.

It also means we say no when a project isn't a fit. You'll hear that on the first call rather than three sprints in.

  • The team you meet is the team you get

No swapping in juniors once the contract is signed. Whoever scopes your project builds it.

  • Estimates we stand behind

If something will take longer than we said, you hear it at the weekly demo — not on the final invoice.

  • Code you own outright

Documented, conventional, handed over in full. Your in-house team can pick it up without an archaeology phase.

  • We stay past launch

Monitoring, fixes and the next round of improvements. Release day is a checkpoint, not an exit.
